When students come on an English language course, of course they want a safe and exciting learning environment, great lessons and activities, and the opportunity to make friends with international students from all over the world. However, part of the excitement about living and studying in England is the chance to use ‘real’ English outside class. Giving your order in a restaurant, asking about train tickets at the station and asking your homestay hosts about their day are all examples of using English outside class. At the Cambridge Academy of English, our motto is ‘England is our Classroom’ and we offer students a whole range of opportunities to meet up with local people, take part in sports clubs and explore the delights of Cambridge!
